FAQ / CATS

WHAT ANNUAL VACCINATIONS DOES MY CAT NEED?

Rabies vaccine and FVRCP.  This is for Feline Leukemia, if kitty goes outside. Typically Dr. Sara customizes the vaccine protocol for your cat.

WHAT KIND OF FLEA, TICK PREVENTION SHOULD I USE ON MY CAT, AND HOW OFTEN?

We recommend Seresto collars (https://www.petbasics.com) are the very best flea/tick prevention for a cat. A Seresto collar will last 8 months.  Don't worry... if it needs to come off of your kitty it will!

Cats should be on flea/ticket prevention all year round.

SHOULD I BATHE MY CAT?

Most cats go their entire life with out ever getting a bath. If you feel like your cat needs a bath, this is totally doable. You can do this at home or we can do it for you at the clinic. We have 1/2 priced Wednesdays where baths are 1/2 price! Our bath includes a nail trim and ear cleaning.

CAN CATS HAVE ALLERGIES?

Yes....typically you will see these as skin problems. If you think your feline has a skin problem, it is best that you bring him or her in for a visit with Dr. Sara.

WHEN SHOULD MY CAT BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED?

Around 6 months is the perfect time.
